  • Has anyone fitted a rear boot spoiler to a 2nd Gen?

As thread title says, i've found one on ebay, with brake light etc and i just wondered if it was an arse to fit? and where do i get the wiring for the break light up to it?

Would the wiring be in place already?

    thanks in advance....

Yep, fitted one no problem. Popeye had a great write up for it, wiring for brake light is already installed.

cheers dude. just had a sniff round at some posts with it. seems simple enough. Just want to make sure it's sturdy and secure when on. Can't be doing with things that are wobbly or loose!
So the wiring is already in place ready, just need to drill a couple holes...?

4 small holes for the bolts, one bigish one for the wires. a doddle. I did mine years ago and it hasn't fallen off yet...
        it's in me shed, mate.

it's more of a porch to stop the rain getting in when the back window is down..

Hope these help, way i did it was drill small pilot holes from the inside where shown, then stick masking tape around em and open em up till the spoiler fits on ok, bit of a job as the the studs point in at different angles so a small round file's handy, electrics grommet is straightforward, forget the size, once on just plug it into the existing socket (white one in the first pic, you can also just makeout the grommet hole in that pic, forgot to mark it)
