I wonder if there would be enough members up for a 4x4 shoot ?
I have several Farms around the area I live, lucky for me they all grow rapeseed, I also have a few fruit growers who now contact me about Rabbit problems I tackle them with .22 and .17 HMR rimfires.

Apache and Surfenstein have rimfires, but for different reasons though.

I use them for tying trout flies, best to use them on the wings as feathers from different part of the bird are used for different things.

            Cheers

How many do you want? and is it just the wings or the entire bird?

As many as I can get!! Snipe & Moorhen have been in very short supply in the past few years and none of the usual suppliers are unable to provide on a regular basis. Full skins are useable but more of a pain to deal with, takes time to cleanly skin & prepare the thing so it will cure and store well. Wings are the most used part and are much easier to deal with.

Might you be able to supply?

Are the rabbits in you area healthy ? no mixy? Have you used a shot gun on rabbits? Ive been told that as long as the grain size is small enough they are still intact enough to eat. I don't see the point in killing them unless there to be eaten, plus i love rabbit pie ;-) or there causing a problem.

I only have a shotgun cert so cant get a rifle at present, plus got nowhere other than ranges to go shooting round here. And no gun dog to go wild-fouling ;-(

I'm slightly bored now of clay pigeons

I've just lost my local shoot for the .22 RF, owing to the death of the farmer who owned the land.
I'm currently looking for a shoot in order to get my FAC opened up for vermin & ground game again - the FAC renewal 2 weeks ago came back with that permission removed.
Vermin shoots hereabouts are like hens teeth.

I'd be up for a Surf shooters group.

Shotgun OK for shooting Rabbits of course rifle is cleaner you just have to be carefull when eating them lead is not to good on the fillings. At the moment Rabbits around here are very healthy " Untill Shot " Also we cant use shotguns over fruit like strawberries as the farmer supplies all the big Supermarkets like Tesco and Asda etc and if they had customer complaints with lead shot in the old Strawb it would not be good
