Chopped Top ?

Has anyone ever tried to chop the top off a surf to have a 4 door convertible 4x4 sort of thing ?

I'm guessing the seatbelt monts would need moving for the front seats, but would the chassis and bodwork stay together without the roof.

I know it's a !!!!!! silly idea.
But I think it would look good.

chopping the roof wouldn't affect the chassis as it is a seperate chassis, unlike a monocoque which would practically fall apart. probably easier to buy a hilux and chop the cab.
