    Hi Richard
    Some advice please.
I have a car that I'm considering breaking.
It's a Peugeot 607 and it's been sat in my garage for nearly two years waiting for me to fix it. I've resided myself to the fact that I'm not going to do it, and at this point just want to get some money back from it.
I'm just wondering is it worth the effort, or am I better off just scraping it?
I know the answer is based on if the parts sell/ are in demand, how long does it usually take you take break a Surf down to the point where you send it off to the scrappies?
Any other advise would be appreciated.

What i would do is look through ebay for the parts for sale and see whats selling.I would then strip those parts out and get rid of the rest. Some places scrap is upto 200 a ton at the moment.
If you got room to store the engine if its good as with the g/box put them in the garage aswell or just the starter, alternator etc.You need to make sure these parts are working though. If the car will fire up then leave it running for a while just to make sure everything is ok.

Have a good look through and anything you can see new on there but not good 2nd hand then take it off and sell on there. If a starter motor is £70 new then i would sell for about £40 delivered
Well worth getting what you can off and sell and then scrap the rest

      I never thought of that.
Taking the good bits off I mean.
The only reason I want it shifting, is to make more room in the garage.
I could quite easily store a lot of the good stuff, including the engine and gearbox,in one corner of the garage thereby allowing me to sell it gradually.

It runs perfect, so everything works fine.

      Top tip, thanks

if you spent a week stripping it and getting rid of the shell then sell the parts as and when.If you put to much on ebay at a time you will probably be rushed for getting everything packed and sent all at the same time.
I use www.interparcel.com and then click the brown tabs for UPS as i find them the best ones on there

That will be the French heap of shite I offered to buy a while back.

The French shite you were going to fix.

Deliver it and I will give you £100
