    On a serious note.

When i did manage to grease the top ball joints they were completely dry!!! would this have knackered them???

I think there was grease in them originally , but hadnt been done for a long time by the looks of things. This could be my steering wobble problem i think.

Test for ball joints - Place a block of timber between upper control arm and upper bump stop on both sides.Jack up front of vehicle to get wheels off ground enough to place a lever under tyre.Have another person lever tyre upwards and look for any up and down movement in ball joint. There should be none.Remove blocks after lowering vehicle.
