Very 80's I like it! Reminds me of my nans RWD corolla that I didnt know what it was at the time, and now she sold it for £500 to someone who did know what it was and I'm constantly upset
        Oh Nana, what's my name?

Love older cars, I think thats great.

P.S. Your interior plastics will come up like new if you use this stuff: http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/p...-dressing.aspx

I've been using it for years and absolutely swear by it.

Any pics? All the interior stuff i've seen just makes it shuny and greasy. I just use some lightly soapy water these days.

To be honest, I love a weird old car, but why would you want this one? Project implies it's a bit knackered and once it's fixed it's going to be worth less than the cost to fix it and a total dog to drive. Is it just an emotional thing?

                    thanks guys

it just saved it from the scrappy, whats the point in scrapping this, theres nothing wrong with it all, has never let me down apart from needed an idle tune up, but thats just a tweak of a screw.
Even if it does break down at least i have the surf to tow her back :L

THanks surfer ross for the recomendation of the interior cleaning product. will purchase some and have a go on a nice summers day

I used to do the same but if you use washing up liquid it'll dry the surface out, leave it prone to cracks and it'll get hammered by UV rays from the sun. Poorboys Natural Look doesn't leave a greasy or shiny finish.

Here's a photo of the interior of our Bora 1.8T Sport, all done with the above product. It really is good stuff. This car was rescued from a very dirty person of Asian origin. Nothing wrong with that in itself, just that the leather was dark brown, the carpets were dark grey and the interior plastics were covered in grease and dirt, and I mean covered. You got dirty from just driving the thing:

No worries Chief. It's not the cheapest stuff in the world but it works a treat and lasts ages. You can use it on plastic, wood, vinyl, leather etc.
