  • leaking window

Just got home and a splodge (technical term) of water fell on the steering wheel, looked at the window and found a gap in the corner joint that must be the culprit... can i put ordinary silicone in the gap or am i better and can i buy special window bonding stuff to do the job propper like.
    Cheers Dave

The only thing I have used is Holts Seek n Seal but I think that is more for leaks that are caused by cappilliary action. I don't think it will fill large holes. I would have thought that your windscreen insurance would at least allow you some nice free advice from the screen fitter.

Silicon sealant will do it, have used it on a an old escort I used to have. Use the bathroom one that stays pliable and make sure all areas are dry and clean.
