So you're agreeing with me and that Albannach is wrong?
I am agreeing with you that Army is always preceded by "an" not "a". But disagreeing that that is relevant to the discussion. And I am saying that Albannach is perhaps wrong to say that the Army invariably takes the singular, but right to say that ordinarily the context in which it is used favours his singular usage. So everyone is mostly right, as ever.
