I was working on my Dodge at my friend's garage, which is in a row of units up a 1:4 hill. We've hardly had any snow down in East Anglia, but the road was untreated and the previous night it snowed enough to make it very slippery. Then I heard an 18-tonne truck trying to get up the hill to deliver a load of carpets to the unit next door! Naturally, I offered to help - mostly so I could trump my mate who'd been boasting about towing a Mercedes car up a hill with his Discovery!
(That's me in the yellow)
Made it all the way to the top!
Unfortunately I was just putting the strap away when I heard my Discovery mate on the CB - towing a 44-tonne artic just around the corner!! (But I still maintain that my hill was steeper and more slippery!)
