Headlight Low beam Stickers for Europe

Hi,

Do i need to stick those headlight beam deflector things on my surfs headlights to drive in Europe? and if i do, where do i need to put them on my lights? is there a marking on the light itself or something?

They usually come with a huge sheet of instructions showing every possible type of headlamp.
I haven't used them for years and have never been pulled.
