Wirless router help please.

My router has packed in & needs replacing, if I buy the exact same make & model can I just plug it in & all will be good or does it need to be faffed about with & set up?

you will need to put in the new wireless security key to connect to it found on the router. should be ok after that

Your PC/laptop will 'see' it, but you'll have to add it to the list or enter it's SSID number or summat

I think you have to tell it who to connect to and if you want wireless turned on or not and what security you want...unless its a dedicated one from your ISP, then its plug and play normally, with a set up disc.

You will need to logg into the router and input your ISPs settings for it to connect to the internet, if for example it was BT the DOMAIN would be "user@btbroadband.com" no password if it's for other ISPs then it is more complicated, your first email from you ISP should give you those details, if not call India and get them that way.
