Goodbye to another British invention today. The 'Hawker' Harrier. The original and still the best.

Still, now we dont need carriers anymore

Now we wait, and wait, and wait until the piece of yank cr@p is delivered in its place.

It is a shame. Gone the way of the Vulcan and the Concorde; hopefully we'll keep one or two harriers to show off with too.

Some other country will buy them and use them and we will get some junker to use instead

We'll probably go back to using single propellor planes.

This is the same old story with the UK. Those that made the decision should hang their heads in shame!

We get rid of all the good useful stuff, yet we keep building Landrovers!!!

If it's good enough for 'Call of Duty' (Enemy Harriers inbound!!!) it's good enough to defend us Brits!!!

Nah, that would mean they'd land within 100 miles of your destination!

If I'm being dropped off in a Harrier, I want it to land on top of my house!

Stop worrying. The replacement aircraft will be ready in about 10 years...

We have bits of its electrical power systems in one of our test chambers right now!

Due in 10 years you say? OK, lets add MOD dawdling, indecisiveness and procedural paperwork on top of that...

                            How's 2030 sound?

So the Yank Marines will still operate the AV8 as a weapons platform ? but we have to rely on Tornado GR4s ???
