Actually Ive just had this very problem on my bora v6 4motion. Took it to a garage and they wanted £100000000000000000000's to fit new motors etc blah blah blah
If everything else is working ok and you have 12V on your bats, your motor can not half burn out to give you a slower wipe. It will work or not work.
There for - if your wipers are moving, your motor is fine,
The linkage pins that connect between the motor and the wiper blade are made of various metals and over time they eat each other with rain and hot summers etc,,,,,,,,
I bet if you strip yours down, clean the linkage and fit a new pin/bolt it will work as good as new.
Thats all that was wrong with my car.
Amazing how many garages will sell you all the kit and still not get it right.......
Let us nkow how it goes!

Is the alternator putting the charge back into the batteries?
Are the batteries in good condition? You need to test them seperately.
Not a lot else can go wrong to be honest, there's no circuit boards or anything like that in the wiper's electrics.
If the battery/batteries/alternator was duff I would expect you would still have a speed difference between settings - they'd just be slower in all settings than normal. I'd also expect other symptoms, like dim lights and the inability to start the truck. Do you have a multimeter? It might be worth checking the voltages at the wiper motor plug with different speed settings selected and go from there.

there are usually three copper ringds in the motor.
1 for slow speed, 1 for high speed and one (broken) for delay wipe....the break gives one sweep and then stops, its re-activated via a delay/timer relay
You need to check feeds at the motor, ensure there's a good earth and that the linkage isn't tight/siezed upWhat have I told you about thinking Erroll
