Another newbie, just bought L491, a '94, 3ltr, auto. Going to be a work tool for a photographic studio, weelllll, we needed something to access farms and building sites, and the rep of the Hilux is 'Bombproof'........

Not my 1st 4x4, last one was a 'Disco, but as that leaked from available orrifice, it doesn't count....

Landys are as waterproof as tissue paper....
But that said; andrex does better

Only bomb proof if you don't

drive them into a tree
drown them on a beach
set fire to them
smash them with a wrecking ball
throw them off a buliding

Other than that they are great and plenty of info here to fix it when it does go wrong........
