  • Hmmmm.

Take a 2wd l/h drive pick up. Put a chuffin great 5.0 litre v8 in it. Then get the owner to ask you to drive it 60 miles through snowy country lanes...butt clencher.

    ( and it's bleedin uncomfortable).

    Non intercooled nothing.

    LOL, nice...

I had to take a friends BMW convertable 'M' thing back to her house tuesday morning, RWD, auto, really fat hi-tech tyres and lots HP made for steady go pedal pressing.

Was fun though, but rubbish on any sort of incline trying to get rolling.

Better with all the driver 'aids' turned off and the gearbox in manual mode though.

Came back in our Subaru Leggy I'd left there overnight, was like all the snow and ice was gone! AWD/4WD rules!!

AWD definitely rules. I'm going to pick up a friend from Brighton at midnight. Police are only letting 4x4 motors out of town...awesome.

I don't know why rod leach listed after dodge rams though...they ain't all that.

Roads are getting pretty bad locally mate, Buggers haven't been gritting this afternoon!!
Left the Jag workshop at 8.15 tonight, took me 40 mins to get home!

I had 4WD but the buggers in front of me didn't

There is just something about them..

I'd still have one! I don't doubt for a second that a 2WD version in the snow would be utter sh!t.

The Jag was awful and that was a good 2 litres less than the ram!

The problem is, If I ever came round to actually buying one.. I'd be reminded that I could get so many more cars for the money and so would probably buy something totally different instead!

I have a Legacy 2.0 GL AWD at the moment Tony. I honestly can't believe how good it is in the snow. We have about a foot and a half up here and she hasn't put a foot wrong all week.

Just a shame I'm selling her to get the 3rd Gen Surf from Rich.

Lexurf sir. We've had between 6-10 inches since about 7pm and it shows no sign of letting up. Those local will know this...the a27 is shut at falmer, so ohad to drive up coldean lane...blimey it's bad in hollingbury. I'm now back in Eastbourne and lexurf never put a foot wrong. My ADD never froze up, nor did any vacumn pipes freeze, despite plowing through knee high drifts...nice one vince.

Been ferrying people home from work from about 5.30 this morning, absolute great fun, no gritters out either so when I first drove out it was on just over a foot of fresh snow, might go out again in a mo just for the hell of it .

                              This made me chuckle.

and it left us about a foot deep.
