Snow chaos here

Just watching national news, we have had up to 1cm of snow in Newry...schools and roads closed.. we may not last the week as food supplies dwindle, its getting pretty hardcore.
I'm awaiting civilization to collapse here.... if you dont here from me anymore ... we have had 2 cm of snow

Not being all "back in my day"... but I used to walk to school a couple of miles in far far worse conditions ..it was life... the footage on National news showing Newry were embarrassing... a light frost and schools closed !

Yeah your right there mate. I had today off and thought I would have a few hours in bed until the wife phones from work and says "Take him (17yo Son) down to college, it's far to cold to walk." I'm like, WTF! Back in the day I too walked a couple of mile to school and when I got back home went out to do my paper round also, rain, hail or shine. My father showed me his love by bringing me home a set of Harland & Wolff waterproofs so I could make my £3 a week. My big lad eats £3 worth of food every 30mins ffs.

Chaotic here too, had to drive ooh at least 20ft up an uncleared driveway. Selected 4wd, and got up it. Made light work of the 2cm we had... as did all the other 2wd standard cars which were also parked there!
Started to reverse into an opening though and got transmission wind up, truck actually stopped like it was against a big obstacle... oops green light still on. problem solved.
Need some proper stuff please!
