For what it's worth, I'm a woman, can't fix much myself so have to rely on a good garage. I take mine to Mosely's Garage near Llandeilo. Run by two brothers they are very amiable, very fair, and always do a good job. They're in the Good Garage Guide.

Hey Bushwacker ..... batteries on my Surf, just charged them up and they will crank the motor for just about a minute, or even just under before they die.... Do you reckon I need to buy new ones?

Methinks a quick oil change tommorow should help!

Probably due to all that cranking and spluttering a while back.
At least you weren't actually wasting fuel, just storing it in the sump!
