I see nothing humourous in that post, its just $hit stirring as far as I can see.

dont mince ya words tony you better have another kebab now!!

Every man jack wants something for nothing these days. The world depresses me at times, it really does. Thankfully there are just enough decent people left to keep life worth living. To tie in with Tony's post, Rich is most definitely one of those people.

He won't want me mentioning this but I will anyway. I was going to fund some of the truck using PayPal, to which he asked me not to bother covering the fees but to give the money that would have gone in fees to Help for Heroes. He didn't have to do that and as a serving soldier, I found that quite humbling. As Tony says, Rich is a standup guy and he's helped me out more than once in the past along with countless others. Top marks Sir!

Ok, I'll settle for a bottle of Sassoon's finest then

Failing that, does the 3rd gen stereo go in a normal cage or is it side plate screw mounts? If its side mounts, I might need a couple.

If i remember rightly it was 2 sideplates.I will see what i got and leave in the truck for you as with the iso lead and a bottle of sassoon

Great stuff, Rich. Thank you. I'll forego the Sassoon as I don't have enough hair to make it worthwhile, the stereo lead and mounts would be much appreciated though. I'll have my stereo with me ready to fit. 420 miles with no stereo is quite a tall order.

Tell me about it Ross.I diid 300m with no stereo in one truck and its so boring with no music.
What i will do Ross and if i got an old stereo here i will fit one in for you and then that will save you stripping the dash apart before going home

I'm glad to hear she's still going well, she had a good strong engine. I've had a few things in between including a 2.8 LWB Pajero that was superb but far too expensive to run (parts and fuel).

I had a lifted 2.4 2nd Gen during the summer but lack of aircon and MTs sent my little girl crazy with the noise levels, she didn't like it at all. I'm looking at getting another 2nd gen now, a 3.0 if possible but I'd settle for a 2.4 with outstanding history and in excellent condition.

We have about 10cm of snow on the ground here too. I'm running a Subaru Legacy AWD at the moment and its coping admirably with it.

                              Ross

Snow hasn't caused any problems here yet but more planned later in the week hopefully the pads will be here soon so I can get it tested and on the road before we hit problems (no gritters around here)
Legacys are excellent (bit thirsty for size) but front bumber/ground clearance is your limiting factor.

Good find with the 3rd gen I fancy changing this for one next season.
