  • Christ it's cold!

Just been outside to mix up some adhesive for some 'dot & dab' work in the house and the wind chill has frozen my face!
Lovely dry sunny day though, blue skies an all.

        I know that feeling..

Been stuck in the warehouse and its ###### freezing.

you probably know, but word of caution, check the min temperature on the dot n dab adhesives - most wont perform as well if under 5 degrees - we've had a couple of tilers cant finish a job as its too cold for the adhesives where they are working.

Still T-shirt and fleece here, though forecast dropping to -8c tomorrow night, if the wind gets up too that will be very brassic.

Our house is probably over insulated, so not too bad on fuel bills and surf can easily manage up to a foot or so on the KL71s but icy roads could be a problem stopping a 2 tonne truck.

Sitting just above zero here, but with 4mph breeze and 77% humidity, it feels a lot colder. Have just lit the fire to compensate - which means I dont have to turn the CH up too much and can burn plentiful free pallets

Just downloaded 'Cumulus' software from here which is compatible with my weatherstation and does some neat calculations with the data. Seems the windchill is currently 0.2C. It also offers the possibility of putting the data on the net in realtime. Will have a play with that

I'd best get out with the chainsaw tomorrow & replenish the wood pile before next weeks forecast freeze. The wood burner really makes a difference, it seems to keep the house core temp up & must save some on the gas bill, which is rising by 7% shortly.
