  • I Want My Grill Off !

    Hi all,
I want to replace the horn on my truck as it is next to useless.
The grill is held inplace by some funny plastic clip things,
has anyone any knowledge on how they are removed and can they
    be reused?
Before I take the grill off to find I cant get it back on again.
    Cheers Chris 91 2.4td SSR.

DE JA VU. ive done my horn but didnt risk snapping the clips off so i worked from underneath took the skin off my arms. i think you have to remove two screws from indicators & remove them 1st but not too sure

      Cheers Marky.
I read your post and liked the horn that you have, like yourself
was a bit unsure about these clips they look very flimmsy.

But the best place to locate the new horn is in the same as the
old one?as it looks the best place.
I may have to go to my local Toyota man to buy some new clips
      one thinks? Chris

remove indicators, the clips have little tabs on them push these in and the main part will slide out from its housing and yep they are a bit flimsy but with care you can remove them.

Thats useful to know,I've only just ordered yhe horn today so
will be waiting to mug the postman soon.
If it dose not fit it will save me farting around getting the
grill off to find that out.
I take it you have put it inner wing?
I have to also see if there is room in the engin bay somewhere
to keep out of the way of the wet and muddy suff.
