Weight of the LS400 V8?

Just enquiring so i can get an appropriate engine lift/stand.

I had to carry mine into the garage the other day. I would guess it weighed 1750kg.
Which coincidentally is what google says.

Sorry. Not sure about engine and transmission weight only. Vince will be able to tell you to the nearest mg probably.

Compared to the 2.4, its as light as an angels fart.

Engine itself is pretty light... Actually 13.7% lighter than an equivalent sized angel fart.

which in itself is a pretty insubstantial weight...unless you get one of those inner city fairies...ruined on carlsberg and kebebs. Their farts are usually follow throughs and smell like a bulldogs belch...gotta leave the cooking sherry alone !
