when the lexsurfers have obtained the V8's, are any mods done to the V8 before dropping into the surf? like the headers etc, or does everyone just stick to the standard as the V8 comes?

I have seen modified headers but even compared to the standard ones they were rubbish, gases leaving at right angles is never good.
A wee bit manipulation and squeezing gets the standard ones in.

yea theres also an SBC thats been sat in your garage for god knows how many years,wasnt that heading for the 1st gen.

did the gaskets, piston rings etc get changed or was the engine untouched?

i know yours was cleaned and painted up, was anything else done?
