  • pleased with my truck this week

Well I've made it home from newquay safely. We've done over 800 miles since last Monday and it didn't miss a beat, it sat at 70mph no problem on the motorway with a full tank of fuel and fully loaded with holiday gear.
The only issue we had all week was when we hit a patch of diesel in the rain and to avoid hitting a spun out car in front I had to ditch it up a grass embankment and ended up wiping out a road sign at 30mph. The other person didn't even bother to see if we were ok, they just drove off. Luckily the only damage to the surf is a dented tube bumper. The road sign however was demolished and bent parallel with the ground.
Got some good surf on beach photos which ill post up soon.

These aren't some poorly built French tat or a wheezy ugly Italian shopper, these are proper trucks!
I'm pleased every day just to look out the window and see it.

Nice, we did a similar thing about 8 weeks ago, stayed at Qunitrell Downs and went surfing at Fistral and a few other places (and we didn't even wear wetsuits as it was still quite warm!).

Was it the tube bumper (and therefore Surf) from the picture in THIS thread?

You never did answer my question!

I might make a tube bumper up myself if I get the time but there's always something else that needs doing first!

Yes that's the one. The bumper is a bit dented in the middle at the moment. But I've got a couple of days free this week so I can have a mess with it.
