    is this anyones?

apparently it has a small coolant leak?!, cant see why owner doesnt replace it himself before selling. I would also expect it fully taxed even if i paid 1600 for it.

      Love the comical air horns!

A 2.4 with over 200k miles on it? I'm guessing it has the uprated head by now then. If so, worth maybe a grand tops.

thats what i thought!! £60 quid over 3-4 weeks of economical driving.....as in not driving it at all?!

i think the air horns may have been taken off after someone probably commented on it or he sold them to the guy who wanted to part exchange his 1.6 megane! lol

im more worried about him not addressing the coolant leak himself IF its such a minor one???

think we should ask him a few questions about it for some fun.

at least he reckons that the rear windows WILL NOT FAIL AGAIN!

wonder if you could hold him to that after you buy it and they fail a month down the line?

If it was one of the pipes then under pressure (when coolant hot) the coolant would escape and the engine would over heat unless it was a hole the size of a pin prick, if so radweld would fix this. If it was the radiator and only a small leak then radweld would fix it also, which the seller would surely do at £5. So if it is not the pipes or the radiator this means either a blown head gasket or broken heater matrix surely?

Radweld in a 2.4?? are you mad?
Do you know the reason why the original heads are cracking?

I thought it was a design problem, which had become apparent with age? (IE warping due to stress) Enlighten me.

Rad weld is the devils sperm, designed to ruin any coolant system. Not every 2.4 suffered with a head failure...it was ultimately down to coolant maintainence. Ive just had the worst case scenario with radweld. It wasnt a toyota, but nonetheless, radweld had been added to a coolant system because the radiator had developed an internal leak. This ultimately ended with an automatic gearbox failure, where the coolant and atf got mixed....they dont like radweld in them. Radweld will also clog waterways and stat jiggle pin enclosures. Use it by all means though...
                          Non intercooled nothing.

im curious if my head has been done at all.

previous owner had no record of it being done.

kinda wonder if its on the original still.
