They know that if a woman gets behind the wheel they'll break it. It'll be off the road six months of the year - therefore, reduced risk.

I once fitted a twin turbo setup on a Rover SDi V8. I declared it to Adrian Flux and awaited the bad news....

... Premium reduced by £5 per year. Go figure!

Their reasoning was that I would take care of it if I'd invested time/money into it. Happy days!

Weird I have business use on both my trucks and it didn't cost any extra?
          Nissan Patrol for on-road, and a Land-Rover 110 shed for off-road :-)

            Hey Thanks!!For all your replies!!

I had a call back from Adrian Flux monday and they were very helpful and apologetic, and the long and short if it is that i am now covered for business use,but the insurance does not cover the tools or materials in transit. This is fine as my surf has a real good Alarm, and there are no tools left in overnight.Ive had to cancel Sureterm as they were more expensive in any case!Im real relieved as Adrian Flux have allways really been totally hassle free for me which is why all our vehicles are insured with them. This is the main thing for me.

I will never get my head around how insurance works,If I go online to purchase 2 Mill public liabilty for a plumber the quote is about 120-30 lowest, the same as an electrician. But I do both in my job of commercial heating repairs etc,and im fully qualified in both i rang the insurance company up to add plumbing as a second trade and they gave me a quote of £521.00!!work that sucker out!
