  • Lovin' the 2.7

So far, it seems to be a bit more economical than my old 3.0, though at least some of that is down to the 33s on the 3.0!

The biggest differences are the near silence of it running, and the ability to actually overtake stuff! Kick it down a few gears and it goes like stink!*

Yeah, so far I'm loving it!

Thing is, I can get to Liverpool and back without having to pull on to 4 garage forecourts.

My old 3.0 litre did between 17-22 mpg...this does the same. On a 100 mile trip to Southampton last week I got just over 22 mpg.

Yeah, I know! I would look at getting one if I hadn't got so much time/love/ money in my 2nd gen. It would have to fail in a very big way for me to move on into the 21st Century.

Your truck sounds very good. Any future plans? LPG?

Nah. Its already cheaper to run than the 3.0TD (which I ran for nearly 7 years) and I'd rather have the load space.

Probably a small bodylift, a 2" sus lift and a bit of tarting up here and there.

Whats with the sudden posting burst? Making up for lost time?
