3rd gen rear springs

will the rear springs from a third gen fit a second gen and will there be any benefit if they do fit i.e any lift

There's very little difference in price, just get the right springs for the job.

I think a 3rd gen is quite a bit heavier than a 2nd Gen, so 2nd Gen springs maybe to soft even if they are longer.

If you had both sets lying around by all means try it, assuming they are even the same diameter, but It's a little daft when perfectly good correct springs are easily available for both trucks.

I'm only guessing from experiance handling both types, not ever sat a set side by side (might do tomorrow now!! lol ) none of my advise is gospel.

Just it seems a little pointless.
