Alan could you have a look on ORA forum and tell me what user name I used.
I have only posted in the dirt champ thread, talking to Rob.

I need to know my username so I can recover my password. Our Alan is trying hard to keep me away from Scottish hillclimb championship so looks like a long long drive to South East may be required 4 times in 2011.

I'll let you race in Scotland if it's cross country events, not ###### tarmac, nae fun if your heads not trying to connect with the roof at high speeds bro!

Already been on SACC to see comp events list 7 rounds next year.
We better build a hybrid that will be a laugh on the comp and capable in the dirt championship.

      That keep you happy?

                  Cheers Alan.

Mark you have to build something, that garage you and your mate run looks like you could turn out a winning truck. Would be great to meet at the events. We will be in same boat as far as time pressure but time and money allowing we will be there.

I will be to hungover from the night before to drive well enough, no matter what I bring to the party

Just checked website for dates, I am a bit ####ed off that the so called "British Dirt" is all as South as you canalmost go, without getting wet.

Unfortunately because it's such a new event, time and money constraints mean it has to be near(ish) to Rob and his volunteers.(like me)
The tracks take many days to build, and require diggers and dumpers etc!
If the four events next year are well received, I have absolutely no doubt we will attract bigger sponsors (hardly any at the moment) and Rob will extend the following year much further! He really is doing this whole series on his own as well as running his business and building his buggy!

PS... I think you will have to go some to beat Rob in ASBO2!!

I can understand Alan, it's just "British" is a tad grand a title for a regional championship.

Once it gets popular the next reason for keeping it there will be "close to the chunnel for our European friends to attend" Similar to the way a few other events have gone.

I will have to bow out and look to the midlands up for some sport, one 1000 mile round trip would be do able if the other 3 rounds were closer. Four 1000mile round trips puts it out with any resonable budget for a 4 round event. I would need 4 days per trip.

For next year looks like the 7 round Scottish Comp Safari is my best hope of some faster fun. With the SMC 4 weekend events for muddy fun and beer

SMC is now a member of Scottish Association of Car Clubs and registered member of MSA. We have the scope to run numerous types of events now, under the umbrella of these two organisations, so you never know Alan, we might even temp some of you lot to travel up here.

You dont have to do all 4 events. you can pick one if you like!

Would love to come up, and its def a future holiday destination!
