  • Injector pump

    Hi guys,

My truck's booked in at the garage next week for the
injector pump seals replacing. I seem to remember some
pics of a pump in bits on here, (some time ago tho). does
anyone have some pics, or a link to the pics mentioned above?
I have searched for hours today, but I can't find any.

What lays behind the distributor end of the pump, and will
it need recalibrating if they remove it, or is it best left alone
    if not leaking there?

    T.I.A.

    Gman.
If it aint broke, keep goin' till it is.

Ive got some somewhere,i'll see if i can find them.LEAVE THE DISTRIBUTOR END OF THE PUMP WELL ALONE.Theres a big curved washer a load of ball bearings and springs, and it will need re calibration if you mess with it.

yeah, you don't want to take the back off the pump unless necessary, there's lots of sprung loaded bits, and according to the book you should recalibrate it after.

A member did undo and pull the end cap off enough to get at the o-ring, but I wouldn't fancy it personally, especially on a truck that isn't mine.

Do the lid seal, o-ring in lid and lower oval side covers and that should do you.

Just throw all the bits in a bucket and get paul daniels to wave his wand over the bucket.

would you like a replacement fuel pump.
If you have srtipped the pump right down then i think you will have a hard job putting it together again

                        Sometimes the truth hurts...

LOL, I have no idea, if you're not joking, the only one I ever took apart to see what was inside is in a box, in lots of pieces still.

I think the Max Ellery manual covers stripping and rebuilding the pump and all the specs, might be time to visit Amazon and get one. But it dosn't cover the EFI pump, only the manual one so will be slight differences, but it may be helpful.
