I've been looking into under body lighting and low level lights. The people in the US do it when trailing at night. Helps let them (or others) see what they are driving over.
Having been out at night it can be handy having lights underneath. However I can't see red being the best colour choice at all. In fact any type of colour - I would think white would be best.

Also it's not too chavy. Chavs have now realised how silly under body lights are and not even they do it any more.
    Oh Nana, what's my name?

Do the lights go under the body? What are they for? Aren't they a bit chavvy?

Theyre normally spot's tucked away so they don't get damaged. You can see videos on youtube.

I think it was probably the sound of my sarcasm going overhead.

Magnetic battery operated ones would be quick and cheap to fit under when needed (really...how often will they actually get used?) and taken off when not in use, just make some mounting plates to stick em to.

                      Lots of types here.

I have three small lights on the back plate of my running boards , they look like some sort of side lights similar to what you see on the side of lorries. They are not brilliantly bright but are effective enough that you can see around the base of the truck and see what you might be stepping into when its pitch black. They are wired straight into the headlights and do not look chavvy at all ( my opinion of course ).
