    This ^^^ !

I had this on my truck...

    And this, at one time.

Looks better with nothing fitted! The money I got by selling the two A-Bars paid for my Snorkel and BFG muds. I do have a winch fitted now though - the mount was bought with the left over cash. If you regularly roll into stuff at very low speed you may want a shiney A-Bar. If you don't, spend the money elsewhere. (Unless you want more show than go )

      re Garry,

It is but when you compare it to aftermarket ones, it looks like it's dragging on the floor!

And yes, I've got that one....

      For the time being.....

Yep that is the standard Toyota a bar. I'm pretty certain I've got one of them rusting somewhere in my garden still. Be carefull what size spots you fit, as they can impede the airflow to the radiator.

Cobblers! If it was already fitted to the truck it can be refitted. He only has to comply with new laws if it's a 'new fit'.

Full wrap rounds aren't cheap! New will cost at least £600 & up.
Second hand ones are generally around the £200 mark!
They are the mut's nuts though!

                      Why?

It's road legal, and passes the MOT.

Yeah, I think my Surf looks better without the big full wrapped around bar.

The bar i through away was massive and had some of those lights on it . The lights were the ones with 4 letters. Probably a grands worth of kit !

Would like to have more light and light up the road better. Have just fitted the new replacement Xon bulbs from Roughtrax ,slightly better than the bulbs with 4 letters i took off.

Whilst i had the batteries out i sorted out a bit of rust and kack and Hammerited battery double skins.

Don't really want to choke the rad, got a couple of small splits in it as it is !
Lights under might be an option.drivers i suppose.

If you want to increase the light output more, make one of these

All the instructions are here http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...ghts.shtml#Top

If you fit your driving lights as I have my most recent set, they don't impede the air flow, just on the edges of the grill, where the grill is blocked in.

I've always been led to believe that it's illegal to fit a tow bar on the front if it protudes beyond the bumper. Guess not.
Be an interesting question to ask traffic plod though.

It has not protruding sharp edges, and (because it's there) has to be tested for the MoT, although as my tester commented "it's unlikly that I'll be towing with it at 60 on the motorway".
