I've had a few now and most have been so unreliable. Currently got a new amstrad and it's been much better but most seem prone to loads of faults (especially thompson!).
HD (equipment & content) has only just reached the level where I wanted to buy in to be honest. Yes, I have the Amstrad box.
It will be a good 5 years before I'd be confident in the standards, hardware and content for me to even consider 3D. Seen a few demos and to be honest I find it too much of a faff & too intrusive for a domestic living room. Like everything though, there will be early subscribers who will pay well over the odds for non-mature tech just to have the latest 'thing'.
My old plasma telly? Still in use connected to the Wii and a DVD player to keep the kids and their friends out of my hair
£61 a month ! Blimy that's expensive, hopefully that and thecost of the tv will come down in the near future as it becomes more popular.
Thats what i was told by a guy at work (I work for Sky) he bought a 63" LED 3D tv - Staff normally get free Sky TV but he was told the 3D stuff was going to cost £61 per month - he wasn't happy! (mind you the TV cost him £3000)
