In the market for a surf again

Hi all,

Nice to see the board still going strong. After a few years abroad and then back in 2WD mode (lots of motorway miles) i'm back in Bath and back in the mood for another Surf, i need to get over that Plain again So i looked on ebay and i'm seeing reasonable looking 2nd gens going for 1000 to 1500?!?!?! Is that proper dog money or realistic these days, not for a minter but for a good runner? There are hardly any on Autotrader so i'm keeping a watch out all over. Looking forward to getting in the mud again

Thanks but i'll wait for a 3ltr, seems to be no shortage these days. I don't want to think what i paid for mine back in 2004 but i'm not complaining if i can get another for a grand, can hardly believe it. Is it just oversupply? Other 4x4s don't seem to have come down quite so much in price. People don't know what they're missing "nah i'll just pay 4x the price for a freelander"
