It's an electrical issue Ross. I'm 99.9% sure it's the coil igniters. They apparently don't take kindly to being disturbed after 19 years faithful service. I've found the two I need from the states fir around 30 quid. I've ordered distributor caps, rotor arms and coils ad well.

Same engine, different exhaust manifolds, sumps and bigger injectors, but basically the same.

I can vouch for them, very good service, and fast delivery (that's where my filter adapter came from).

I can get most parts from work at cost price so if you need anything else like that let me know. I have been able to get nearly all the parts I needed apart from the air flow meter they wanted £700!! Get it £30 off eBay in the end..

Well im going to check nominal voltages to the injectors, resistance to coils etc...vince...is it possible you could send me an old distributor to coil ht lead, if you have one hanging around.
Its for the that broken one...funnily enough !
im getting fuel to the engine, theres electric in all the right spots...as a precaution, im going to ground EVERYTHING.

No worries, leads will be in the post tomorrow.

If there's 12v at the B+ pin in the diagnostics box, then there should be 12v at the injectors.

thanks for that vince... i take it the b+ pin is part of the injector circuit.

Yeah, it's the main 12v feed for the whole engine.
Have you looked at those diagrams yet?

yes. ive perused them quite closely(thanks for sending them btw). nothing untoward springs to mind. Coupled with the fact, it did a nigh on 300 mile hit without a hitch, it all points to a component issue.
