Fuel Tank....

Hi Guys

How big is the fuel tank in the 2nd gen 3.0ltr Diesel......mine seems to be about 30 litres? Is this right?

55,65 or 75 litres are the tank sizes.I don't think i have come across a 55l tank yet though

So I went to nearly empty and put £30 of diesel in and it went to nearly full!

Is there something wrong here or is it just me!

were you just watching the fuel gauge while filling or did you wait for the pump to click off and fill right to the brim

No I just put £30 in!

When I restarted the fuel gauge went up to just under Full.

Do you think the sender is up the creek!

It might be knackered.Next time keep filling it up till the pump shuts off and see how much goes in.It might just be a bit sticky if it hasn't been filled right up for a long time

I am not that lucky....even though I am trying to work out how I can fill the hilux up instead of my works van at the councils pump!..........Free Diesel!!!!

Not just you. From a full tank, mine will stay at the full line for about 200km, then you have to race it to the filling station as it drops quicker than a lead balloon.... Half a tank on the display is probably about a quarter, I reckon.
