you scottish lot

iam planning my route around scottland for my tour of scottland
iam looking at google earth at all the islands on the west coast of scottland
i aint been on that side before
i have done from peterhead down wards to glasgow but the wife aint
i never saw much coz i was all ways working
so i got that part covered
its the north west and west scottland i aint done any of
only past through it never seen non of that coast line too
iam thinking of island hopping at some point in the future

were would be nice to stay
eather a cottage in a picturess place on the north west coast
or west coast
this trip is going to be in mi lexsurf when its done
tiz why i chose to have it done coz i have got to cover this entire island and all its parts before i do europe

its a long trip and need a good engine to do it in
iam not saying a surf engine cant do it iam saying a lexus v8 can do more miles with less problems

anyhow
i need to base my self in the north west scottland
like i say in a cottage or big castle has long has its quiet and no ones around i hate people realy and like to stay away from em
iam a hermit that likes to travel

i plan on viseting a few up there too coz i would like to meet ya scottish dudes
so iam planning on been up there in the summer and off down soulth for the winter

so what ya think guys

Hi there J,

I live at Carbisdale Castle which although not in the west it is fairly central. It is a youth hostel though so not exactly luxury but where else could you stay in a castle for around £20 a night. It's open from March through to october. Have a look on the syha website for more info.

This year i've done most( if not all) of the Outer Hebrides in my Surf. I'd say the west cost is far more scenic than the east.


This year been to Barra,Eriskay,South/North Uist,Harris,Lewis and Skye.

that looks worth the stay too

i wish to see most of west scottland before the rest of scottland
its a must for me to return to scottland
its part of my project to go there
but i always wanted to go back there anyway
my project takes me to every bit of the coast line
i have been out and done some field work
its looking like its going to be better than i could ever have planned it to be
the more i work it out the better its getting
most of you will think iam a bit mad but hey
i will explain all in time to come
just not yet
best thing is i may need others to go out and do the same for me
and i will buy the things off you
so this may spread about abit too
its down to were ya live
