Trying to undo the rear shocks but with huge difficulty.
Been soaking the top thread all week with WD & various other lubricants but still no joy.
Not bought the new ones yet so can't really grip the shaft with mole grips & such so is there a knack to this or is it a case of wreck the old ones to get them out & fit the new ones at the same time.

wrap a small piece of cardboard around the shaft and grip it as tight as you can with a large pair of molegrips or stilsons.then try undoing the nuts.

Think it might come to that cos I undid the bottom nut & lowered the piston but the sleeve doesn't clear the body of the shock so a bit of butchering is in order mi thinks.
