You've either got the wrong towbar or you're not fitting it correctly.

Is this the PCT part number TY3272 ?

no, its a gm******* number, will check in the morning, the tow bar came with truck when i bought it....


so was trying to make it fit

Must be the wrong tow bar as Vince said mine did,nt foul anything, then I sold it to High Roler and I don't think he had a problem either.

Looking at the pic again I don't think mine mounted there at all. It had two brackets that bolted to the chassis and the bar then bolted to the brackets.

So in theory if I got the right brackets made it would be possible to fit. Say a thick angle iron down from th chassis bolted onto the side of the chassis.

In theory, anything is possible.

Buy the right bar, that's the easiest/safest/best thing to do.

tooo tight for that andy..... i am just after stripping down the old towbar and respraying it so it better fit.....

and after a wee bit of googling, i have found my towbar that came with the TRUCK is from a astra

Sounds like a Pickup towbar !!!!!!
I did adapt a Pickup step bumper "Pics on here somewhere" (sent in error by Milners) to fit my Ln130 5-6 years ago !!
So yes any things possible .....
