Completely forgot to let you know how it went!

The Surf handled the trip nicely....started fishing about 14:45 and had my first real bite about 15:30.....34cm Plaice! good size fish.

All quiet until about 18:30 when all 3 rods stated to get some action!

7 Codling in a row all about 1.5-2lb and then to end the night 3 really good size Dog Fish!

All came home and got eaten between the wife, kids and the outlaws....sadly I hate fish!

Last time I went fishing was in this. Went like absolute stink and cost a fortune. 150 tuna and a distinct lack of marlin later, I gave up on fishing and went back to getting drunk and lying down for my holidays.

          Hi,
Yeah, the surf is great for getting the rods in, even my 4.2 m Century goes between the seats a treat !

I like to Beach fish, mainly in Sussex, Eastbourne area Pevensey etc.

Don't be affaid of Smooth hounds they have no teeth, just grab their head and tail together as their skin is quite abrasive.

Best thing if boat fishing for Thornbacks is a biggish net and an old wetish towel to handle them.

Good luck with your new boat looks lovely. Tight lines and be safe, wear a life jacket !
