  • Sea Fishing....

Just wondering if there are any sea fishermen/ladies amongst you all?

It was my main reason for wanting a Surf as my rods will go nicely in the boot with one seat down!

If there are any local to me in North London maybe we can arrange a little fishing/surf meet.

But then I travel to Folkstone to do my fishing so if anyone is down that way as well!

I just got back from Chatham where I have been to view and left a deposit on a fishing boat, I am new to sea fishing, but do have a little experience with boats.

Excellent what boat is it? What engine does it have? Will you get all the kit gps, and fish finder and two way radio etc?

This is the cheapest place i have found for just about anything. dealextreme.com, They are in china, they can be a little on the slow side but prices are good, oh and they call two way radios walkie talkie`s

I dont have a fish finder but i have a GPS and a Radio, I also carry flares. We go up to a half a mile off shore in our sit on top kayaks.

Its a fantastic sport. I use a Jarvis walker 7ft boat rod its really light in the tip but extremley strong and cheap too, it needs to be because we are so close to the water it spends a lot of time in it.

We have a great spot for Cod/Pollack off Cranfield point but its right in the tidal stream, we have to time slack water to perfection, but man its worth it.

She is lovely mate well done and the whole shooting match as well. When do you pick her up? , I assume she as her name is Flo.

You can tell that picture was`nt taken in ireland, no rain.

Will you tow her or do you have a mooring or a birth somewhere,

We have a great little harbour near us at Annalong, It has a small comercial fishing community. Very friendly and great for lauching small boats. I`ll pop a pic in rigs in about 5 min,

I pick it up a week on Sunday as I am off to Portugal for a week tomorrow night.
That pic was taken at 6pm tonight in Chatham Kent. I am going to tow it to Cardiff and moore it up in Cardiff bay. Then we can fish the Bristol Channel. Just need to learn how to fish now. My brother is the fisherman he has a lot of teaching to do.
I am a bit scared of what comes out of that water I have seen the vids on you tube of people pulling out smoothe hounds and thorn back rays I would be cutting the line if I pulled anything other than a cod or mackeral out.

                      Hee Hee Hee !!! .

Imagine pulling up a conger with a head the size of a dog, ME sitting in a boat that sits 6 inches above the water. You`d hear the screams from Cardiff.

Ha ha if I pulled a conger up I would throw the rod at my brother and scream abuse at him from the top of the fly bridge
