The oddly lumpy appearance of the Colorado is growing on me. I think I'd be seriously tempted by the promise of difflocks and leather
Still, I have as long as I want to find one I like.Cutting steps in the roof of the world

I'd rather drive a Discovery than be seen in a Colorado/ Prado.
IMO the ugliest 4x4 Toyota ever made.

we need some pictures here
when i bought it:
a while later: new tyres, sidesteps removed, snorkel fitted and suspension lifted
since fitted a winch and underbody protection and fitted softer front springs as it was too high at the front and i was getting bad driveline vibes (even borrowed a front diff-drop kit, that didnt cure it)
and replaced front grille after i found a better location for winch solenoid...
next projects are to make rock-slider's and rear boot storage system
had thought about bodylift and bigger tyres - but then it wouldn't fit in the garage anymore!Last edited by andycook; 22 September 2010, 14:04.Landcruiser Colorado

Out of interest are their more stock aftermarket goodies for LC's over 3rd gens or no difference?
One of the most annoying things about Surfs to my mind is having to get everything fabbed, fettled or home made (If cash was unlimited I would have no issue as having unique stuff made is great. Buts it not, so I do )

i think there are marginally more options for the Colorado
but often they are so expensive (only 1 or 2 options in the UK - australia a different story!), that it is cheaper to make your own e.g. rocksliders and underbody bashplatesLandcruiser Colorado

I really wont be doing much to it. Small sus lift and decent ATs. Underbody protection is always good. Probably leave the steps on as the missus used to moan she couldn't get into the Surf...
Wont be fitting a winch unless I start to use pay & play and I cant see that happening. I never had one on the the Surf and never got so stuck I couldn't get myself out with some effort, and thats with no lockers.Cutting steps in the roof of the world

S'funny Gra, leather seats (leather as against plastic!) dont give me a sweaty ar5e. I drove the Celica in some really hot weather and the seats remained comfy and cool.
P'raps its cos I've worn tight leather undies for so long I've got used to it.Cutting steps in the roof of the world
