I remember there was some Linux-y type techies on here?

I'm converting / transcoding some HD video into an AVI DivX format and need to change how this is completed. ALL of the work done is by the GPU, and not my CPU. Meaning ALL of the converting is done by a 550mhz CPU running now at 86 degrees c, whilst my 3.4Ghz quad core sits doing nothing.

How do I stop that and get the CPU to do all of the work?
    Oh Nana, what's my name?

          Na none of them work!
I even tried GOOGLE! (and swearing! (And swearing at Google!))
GPU sitting at 91c now at 100% load.

But it must be okay, because nvidia don't start declocking it until it reaches 130c

It's matroska. I would just like to play it on an xbox 360, as my mate has no other way of utilising his 52" plasma.

I know mkv and avi's are both just containers, thats about as much as I know.. Have been googling for answers. I think I have enough to play it - we'll see in 70 minutes if I'm not asleep by then!

Hey tony that has to be the biggest self thread hijack's in history.

For the first few seconds i thought the helicopter was out of control but then realized the guy has super skills, that was the best ive ever seen.

Wonder how many models he distroyed before he mastered it.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Was just discussing with a colleague.

I'd really like a quadrocopter, for aerial videography and FPV. But probably wouldn't use it very often, although it would be cool to make some interesting videos!

Here is a quadro: very complicated to build and setup. Costs almost £1000 so no way I'm going to do that, unless I build it up piece by piece - and by that time I may lose interest or have something else divert my free time.
