Losing Coolant

Hi folks

Looks like I have a coolant leak somewhere. Any ideas where I should start looking? Any obvious points to check out first? My truck has a rear passenger heater. Where do the pipes go for this? Are they under the truck or are they inside?

Check for soggy carpet in passenger footwell (Heater matrix leak)

Rear heater pipes go under the floor and are independantly fed. (not through the thermostat)

How old is the radiator cap?

I'd look here first. Had 2 Surfs with leaks here after a body lift. The pipes are located under the drivers side (under the truck) and run along the chassis. Usually full of rust.
Lol, I once thought they were brake lines and thought I was leaking brake fluid.

If so, its an easy fix to bypass them.

if its all dry and the rad and pipework are OK then I'd get it sniffer tested for head cracks, mine began by loosing a bit of coolant. H

Hi guys. Thanks for all your suggestions. Carpets are dry all round. Pipes to rear heater are corroded but still appear to be sound. Got the bash plate off & all seems fine there too. Eventually found a 3 inch piece of pipe at the back of the engine connecting the front heater matrix to the rear heater matrix & the radiator with a couple of small nicks in it. Hopefully this is the problem! So off to the factors tomorrow for a bit of general purpose hose then fingers crossed...

Fell asleep at 8 ish then got woken by my 21 year old fighting the 14 year old at two AM, couldn't get back to sleep so spent the night online, I'm a little shagged now though. H

I'm not a good sleeper so when I nod off the missus lets me go, I'd been to the pub all day.
