yep, sad day. One of my all time favourite rockers. even if he was 3ft 3 tall...

post 'sacred heart' is a bit hit and miss m8, Magica is OK, but hey, stick with Holy Diver, Rainbow stuff, and if you like to find out about his origins, I really strongly recomend the Elf albums, bl88dy brilliant.

luckily saw him on the holy diver tour a couple years back, was gonna go to Heaven and Hell gig but I guess thats off now! Wasnt too enthused witht he H&H album though, one or two good tracks but nothing to say 'wow' about...

be safe, remember ... Life is full of Kings and Queens, who blind your eyes and steal your dreams....
If you're gonna be a bear... be a Grizzly.

          sad day indeed

I listened to Holy Diver on the way home on train.

other albums i love and listen to regularly are:
          Intermission
          Dream Evil
          Lock up the Wolves
          The last in line
          Sacred Heart

not so sure about "Strange Highways" - that was one of later albums and not quite as good as earlier stuff

remeber skiing at glenshee in the 90's and they have a ski run called the "Tiger" - so mate skiied down that with "holy diver" on his walkman... "ride the tiger!!"

A very sad loss indeed, I was looking forward to seeing him at High Voltage, but long before the concert he annonced he was to ill to attend, and sadly died before. Heaven and Hell played there last Concert Glen Hughs and the brilliant Jorne Lande sang, Tony Iommi was mind blowing. There was also an emotional speach from his widow Wendy Dio.
