key sticking

yep the key wont turn all the way back and cant get key out ignition , looked in search but cant find answer truck still outside

The gear selector switch might be knackered - It wont let you take the key out if it thinks you're not in park (even if you are)

no on drivejoking apart yes its in park and jiggled everyway , wd40 all the usual tricks

whip the cover off the shifter, there s a white plastic switch at the front on the passenger side. feed that some WD40 and rattle the sifter through the gears a few times, if that doesnt work, take the panel off below the steering wheel and disconnect the blue double connector.

Have a look in the technical section under 3.0 turbo , i put a post on there the other evening as i have got the same problem. I think bushwacker told me to clean the linkage and check the solinoid. I havnt had time to do either yet but will have a go at the weekend. If you get yours sorted before then can you let us know what it was so as i can follow the same.
