      Thanks for the welcome.

not really offended just was a bit puzzled. I have been searching for a couple of days now, one of the cheapest so far is ecar if of its use to anyone, but they have an abismal reputation judging by some google searches!

another cheap quote I have had is from fortis insurance through countrywide auto line on 0800 652 3963.

It appears that if you phone you get a better deal then just filling in online forms.

Another problem I have is that my registeration come up either as a 2.4 ssrx 2nd gen or a 1997 4runner manual petrol!!!

Any way I don't take online stuff too seriously, I am an active member on a couple of other forums and try and help when I know about a subject or just have a bit of a banter.

Some thing that may be usefull is to make more stickies on stuff that gets asked regularly, I notice there are some already and those are the ones I read even befor I got my surf but could do with more.

      Just a thought.

cheers for that tried them already couldn't match my best quote of £1100 fully comp.

I have been thinking of getting motor trader insurance so I can drive any car, waiting for some quotes to comeback tomorrow.

What I usually do is threaten the offending part, then go for a coffee and a fag and then get the fag to undo the part after wards!!!

I'm 55 have only 1 years ncb and insurance is nearly a grand for the truck wherever I look so think you'll have to swallow it around that mark. H

Also 22, got a 3 litre intercooled. Best I could manage was £1160, through flux with 2 years no claims. I had the same problem, in that Churchill wouldn't transfer my policy from my old 1.6 astra - had to let my policy run out so I wouldn't lose my no claims for the year. Meant I had to wait 2 months before I could scrap that heap of jedward astra. Luckily flux let me use my no claims from that policy before the year was up though. If you go through flux you can get discount by being a member of this forum as well.

thanks guys for help and the "do you want us to call them for you" comment, yes this topic may have been brought up before on this forum so forgive me being awkward and asking again, but with my age was struggling with your everyday comapnies for good prices... my bad!

appreciate the help, gonna avoid flux, had bad times with my R33 skyline, randomly incresed my premium after 6 months. was already paying 3k p/a. think maybe look into some smaller companies that been listed.
my cars are normally lower than a smack heads morals but now im gonna lift them as fat chicks cant climb...safer! **iMud**

i have tried to get a quote from noel dazely but because i'm not working they couldn't quote me which i was a bit surprised about i didn't bother trying to explain i'm not working due to a disability as this would have gone to the same answer i think
anyhoo the insurance isn't due til next month so i'll start looking properly when my renewal comes through as at the moment i'm paying somewhere around £600 tpft
I'M ALWAYS IN THE SH'T, IT'S ONLY THE DEPTH THAT VARIES!!!!!!!!

Just had a quote from them that includes green laning for £367 with no NCD! Cheapest I have had is £1100! to say I am astounded is an understatement.
Only thing is you don't earn a no claims with this policy, but hey I don't care when its that cheap!

If they start saying things like that then just hang up the phone. They're obviously just making up as they go to fleece you even more.

There's a few member/owners on here in their ealy twenties that have insured their trucks for under £1000.
