Do you pass the MOT with those tail lights fitted? My tester refused to pass my old truck with them fitted because the reflectors are white and you can't have any white light showing to the rear.

Truck looks lovely, who needs mud?

Hate those rear light lenses, they just look like smashed lights to me, and you still haven't paint the rear drums black.

Your MOT tester is interpreting the rules wrongly. It is not white 'light' until it is on. The rules have nothing to do with the colour of the lenses, just the colour of light emitted. If you have the correct colour bulbs fitted, all is hunkydory.

You misunderstood me. Its not the colour of the emitted light that they fail on, its because the reflector is white and reflects light from the headlamps of following cars in white instead of red. They can't be legally "E-marked" unless the reflector is red.

The tester in question is a bit of a Nazi when it comes to the detail of the MOT test but that's why I use him.
