...Disco recovery vehicle for BTCC at Knockhill just now, gets bogged down on the grass at the side of the circuit!!!

While we're on the subject, other racing has been mentioned lately, but how can anyone not think Touring Cars are the MOST exciting form of track racing ever, its been on all day, all the supporting classes are fabulous too, but for "all out-bouncing off the walls-leave your brain in the pits- racing" nothing comes close.

(AND, its not raining at Knockhill!!!!! )

Im probably in a minority of 1 here, but I find all forms of motor racing, quite mind numbing. I just cant get excited about a bunch of cars or motorbikes going round and round. Yes theres the occasional crash to waken everyone up, and sometimes a cheeky overtaking manouver, but all things considered it still bores me ridgid.

I'm with you Tony - although MotoGP and WSB come pretty close too !

My only issue is that it takes ###### ages to get out of Thruxton when the meeting finishes ...

Life is too important to take seriously !

True, OK amend that to "on four wheels...." although considerable time was spent on 2 or even 0 wheels today..

Love the MotoGP's and Superbikes, and obviously my parents living in the Isle Of Man provides amazing live action sitting in a deckchair in their front garden a few times a year.

The marshalls did well for actions on live telly

Crash one car by towing into a tyre barrier, have issues alligning another for the tilt and slide recovery truck. Then whilst we watch on, get the 4x4 stuck and have to leave it there for the rest of the race.

              opps.

F1...not really my cup of tea.
Btcc...awesome...plenty of closely matched cars, and lots of excitement.

But the best, belly laugh ive ever had was watching the robin reliant racing at arlington. When they have to position the marshalls at strategic points to right the cars, which rolled every damm corner...awesome.

(And watching the winner get disqualified by the scrutineers, for having the rear wheel nearest the inside of the oval, filled with water to try and keep it up right!
                Non intercooled nothing.

Have to agree, the 'plastic pigs' are brilliant at Arlington.

Hey Tony do you know my old mate, Butch, aka David Buttery. Think he's doing politician bit over there now, used to be my mucka when we were both despatch riders, I've stayed with him for a couple of TT's, great bloke. H

I like both football and rugby as spectator sports, but Im not a major fan. I dont follow any club in particular, and I dont slavishly monitor the sports channels. I dont have sky and I dont subscribe to sky sports on freeview, so its not like I even have access to much of it, although I,ll try to make time to watch any internationals or champions league stuff on terrestrial.I like things with engines too, cars, tractors, motorbikes, traction engines, I just find watching them go round and round and round a bit tedious. I tried once to see if I would like it better "live" and went to see formula ford or something at Donnington, but it just failed to grip me.

                            BTCC fan

Used to get complimentary tickets for this when VX were racing.
Its definitely an under rated event, we've been to a few circuits and they've all been excellent days out.

The best thing is is you leave early, generally you can get home and watch the last race on ITV(4?) live. If not SkyPlus is good. Being there and then watching the races on the TV adds an extra element.

Suppose it's same with the football, although I'm not in the footie camp.
