  • Smoking....

    Hi,

I'm due to pick up my imported Surf at the end of the week - DVLA willing! Like most imports I've looked at, it stinks of cigarette smoke - most Japs seem to be chain smokers!. Any ideas on getting getting rid of the smell?

    Cheers,

    Paul

Spray some Febreeze down the vents and over the seats, carpets and door panel fabric.

        Cheers

It did on mine if you spray it down the vents enough. The only smell in the aircon will be from the air intake tract including the outside of the aircon chiller. ON later models with pollen filters the filters would also need to be changed - later 3rd gens I think. Changing Aircon gas will make no difference.

              Cheers

Also an icecream tub full of coffee ground will do the job, as will a saucer of milk.

                  Cheers

After a good days fishing, leave your nets in the boot, that'll clear most smells and re-live happy memories.
