I've fitted three of those kits, they're fine.

Don't forget to lower the rad and raise the front bumper too, the brackets for those you'll need to make yourself....................if you can find the off switch for your PC.

I contacted the fella who makes them because someone at avalanche had some that were badly made, I said this:

Hi, what size are the bolts supplied with this Kit? M10 or M12 and what length are they - also I think a friend bought this kit and the Holes weren't centred and one or two of the spacers were cut at an angle - I assume this was just a manufacturing error?

His reply: This kit contains M10 bolts throughout, lengths are 2x140, 4x160 and 2x180.
I can assure you that your friend did not buy his kit from us, all our spacers are machined to exacting tolerances and holes centred correctly.

My reply: I'm waiting for a friend to come back to me about his body lift kit before I order - However, I've been told (by a Hilux SURF expert) that the bolts need to be 2x130, 4x140, 4x180 for a 2" lift (obviously high Tensile) if you'd like to update your list, Hope it helps

Thanks for the reply and the bolt lengths, I already have those sizes listed - which will teach me to look before posting, my apologies for that, yes we supply High Tensile bolts to grade 8.8.

Just thought you might appreciate a couple of close up photograph of our spacers: (there are some nice pic!)

as you can see all faces are square and the holes centred
In order to avoid stretching we use high tensile (grade 8.8) shanked bolts, not set bolts or studding.
We also supply as standard NyLoc nuts
I addition our spacers are 60mm in diameter and are made from currently the toughest synthetic material available (about 20 times stronger than steel) and used in the nuclear industry.

As with the rest of the motor industry we do not use Acetal Resin (Delrin) due to the following reasons:

      Low impact strength
      Low melting temperature
      More rigid/brittle than nylons
      Very high thermal expansion
Sensitive to UV light, acid hydrolysis and chlorine attack
Hope this is of interest to you

      I'm ordering now!!

        What about it Mark?

            OK smartypants Mark!

Just figured its usually easier to get hold of suspension shockers, and steering dampers are just a non-extending shocker on its side.

Might be worth providing suchlike in a Surf fit as procomp suply is a bit hit and miss?

I phoned Bearmach there are 2 types of ES2000 - he needs to know the lenght of the piston (i dont know) and if they are eyes at both ends (there are) he quoted 25 + VAT and del

So if you know the length of the piston....?

                      I'm complaining.

I want to fit ES9000s to the front of my Surf as well. More expense

The procomp damper for the Surf doesn't use the original mounts. The kit comes with bracketry so asking if there are eyes at both ends indicates to me that he doesn't understand what you're asking for.

So they are a straight swap? I've just found the partcodes:

                                they are here:

                                http://www.explorerprocomp.com/PDFs/07cat/92-97.pdf

I'm busy tomorrow but I'll phone bearmach friday to get a price for the one that's a straight swap (219500, it bolts to the stock mounts, at least it does on the 86-95 4Runner)
